The Newbie Club™
Affiliate Program
"You'll
Double Your Clicks If
You Follow These Tricks" Let's face it. As more people become web savvy,
it's vital that you promote your message with the greatest
efficiency. Part of
this efficiency comes from NOT giving away the fact that your
links are affiliated with any program. We're not out to deceive anyone, but
there are many who want things as clean looking as possible, and enjoy taking
those extra steps to ensure a slick, professional delivery. With
this in mind, I'm going to show you the best way to link to your
Newbie Club™ web site. For
example, the following URL is a giveaway that some product
or site is
being promoted: http://newbieclub.com/?my_affiliate_code To
the savvy surfer (and it only takes a few exposures to the web
for some people to pick this up) the link says one thing, loud and clear:
"Someone is promoting this site and wants me to click their
link." Some will. Some won't. And some will strip your
code. Can this be fixed? Absolutely. The solution already exists. Instead of using the link style above, use a simple redirect page - if you have your own website of course. How
to create meta redirect pages If
you want to embed your affiliate code in a redirect page, so it's never seen at
all, do the following: 1.
Create a new folder on your web server. For example, we'll use the name "newbie". 2.
In the "newbie" folder, you'll place a file named "home.htm"
and it'll have only one bit of HTML code in it. Here's the code: <meta
http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=url"> Replace
the second instance of "url" with your affiliate coded link. For
example, if you were the "learn" affiliate, your final finished code
would appear as follows: <meta
http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://newbieclub.com/?learn">
That's
it. You can now promote your affiliate site using a redirect page that you
determine. Name your directory anything you like. The above assumes you know
how to use an FTP client to create new folders on your hosting server.
